I’m Ali Raza, an application security engineer and security researcher. I’m interested in web vulnerabilities and malware reverse engineering. Investigations often begin with something unexpected in an app I use, a spam comment, or a line in a VPS log.
Since September 2026, I’ve worked as a contract Application Security Engineer at Readwise. Earlier in 2026, I was a Cybersecurity Consultant at Ontario Power Generation. I’m studying Honours Computer Science at McMaster University, expected to graduate in 2029.
I represented Canada at the 2026 International CyberSecurity Challenge. At CyberSci Regionals 2025, my team placed third nationally among 80 university teams. I also build vidar32-toolkit.
